She couldn’t tell exactly for how long, but at least a few hours had passed since she had crossed the border. Hours of nothing more than bare lands and bitter grey and white as far as she looked. It was cold, it was sad and the wind… the fricking wind, always howling and crying and pushing the scarlet doe, and she wished she could just close her ears. She had them pinned against her slender neck, yet the storm didn’t care for something so trivial as her. She was nothing but a spot of red among the dull white area.

She had started out great.. just great. The days had been cold, the weather a bit chilly yet rain or snow hadn't overtaken the lands just yet, which definitely made Ava's journey easier. She hadn't been forced to take shelter, and thus she had continued on in a fast pace. Soon, she had left the small territory of the loyallists far behind her and only strange lands were ahead of her. During the daytime, the scarlet doe had a tendency to pause - often zoning out in moments of serenity with vivid images flashing before her eyes. During the nighttime, Ava would awake with tension in her bones and shivers in her muscles. Most of the time, she saw places. Meadows of green, green land, and an enormous sea with strong winds pushing against the landside. She could sometimes even taste the salt in the cold breeze. Some of the times, she saw
